Useful Toilet Hire Information

These are some of the most frequently asked questions when it comes to portable toilet hire. We pride ourselves in outstanding customer service, so if you have any questions that aren’t on this list, please contact us and we’ll be very happy to help you. Can I move the toilet once it’s on site?

If you need to move the unit once it’s in position, please do so carefully. Please keep us informed if you move the toilet or if access to the site where the toilet is placed becomes blocked. Please avoid placing the toilet on one-way streets or near parked cars.

Where is the best place to put the toilet?

To deliver, service and collect the toilet we will need clear access to the site where the toilet is placed and clear access to the toilet (4 metres maximum).
To ensure a timely and efficient delivery of the toilet to your preferred site, please provide an accurate and detailed site address, together with any relevant access or navigation details.

Are there lights in the units?

The units do not have lights installed and rely on external lighting through a translucent roof. Please bear this in mind when choosing the location of the unit and ensure that the roof is not obscured by trees etc.

How much space do I need to make available for the unit?

Our standard units are 4ft square and you will need to make sure that you allow adequate space for the unit itself and for the door to open and close.

Are the toilets suitable for disposing of sanitary products?

No. Please do not place anything other than toilet roll into the toilet, to avoid toilet blockages. Please do not put rubbish, paper towels or rags in the tank.

Do the toilets have any security in-built?

No. The customer is responsible for the security of the toilet from commencement of hire. Please remember to secure the toilet when it is not in use. If using a padlock to secure the toilet, please use a combination lock and advise us of the code.

The chemical toilet I’ve hired is not flushing. How do I fix this?

If the toilet is not flushing, please pour a bucket of water into the pan to bring the water level back up and pump several times to get the flush going. If this does not resolve the issue, contact our team and we'll get someone out as soon as we are able to.

Can the unit be used for storage on site?

No. Please do not store anything (tools, consumables etc.) in the toilet. Anything stored in the toilet will not be safe or secure and may block our access to service the toilet.

How much notice do you need when booking?

The majority of orders are delivered the next day, but notice is always appreciated, especially at peak times.

Do I need to be here when you deliver/collect the toilets?

Yes, if possible. Help on site may be needed to manoeuvre a portable toilet into position (and off site) as we don’t carry lifting equipment on our trucks.

Are you registered under the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011?
